My daughter Annie and I found these cute cat ear templates on Mingo & Grace. We used the template to create our own version using felt and glitter decals from Oriental Trading.
If you have a girl scout troop, these cat ear headbands would make a great Halloween meeting activity! The ears also make a cute kitty cat costume accessory.
Supplies
Black headbands
Black and purple felt
Glitter foam Halloween stickers
Hot glue
Scissors
Cat ear template ( I enlarged the template to 130% before printing. My headband was much thicker than the one used on Mingo & Grace.)
Directions
Print out your template at 130% to enlarge the ear and inner ear. Cut out two of each template on your felt. The larger ear will be black felt and the smaller inner ear will be the purple felt.
Hot glue the purple inner ears to the black ears.
Fold the ear in half to find the middle. Pinch to make a small crease. Add hot glue to the crease and glue onto one side of the headband.
Fold the ear together over the headband with hot glue.
Repeat for the other ear. Glue on the glitter decal of your choice!
