With the new Minion movie in theaters my kids have been going “MINION” crazy! They want minion mac n’ cheese, minion clothing, fruit snacks and cereal. It’s all about the MINIONS! The absolutely CRAZY part…they haven’t even seen the movie. Ha ha. So in an effort to calm the craze I created these super easy DIY minion cupcakes.
My goal is ultimately to show MOST moms (aka moms w/o expert baking skills) that they can create these fun cupcakes without a whole lot of skill. It is easy, cheap and super yummy. You won’t let your minion crazed kids down, I promise!
What you need:
- Funfetti Cake Mix
- Neon Yellow Funfetti Icing
- Candy Eyes
- Black Food Gel
Directions:
Bake the cupcakes according to package instructions. Cool completely. BLUE liners would have been perfect but white was what I had on hand.
Using a butter knife. Smooth on the frosting. Position the candy eyes. I did double and single eyes. Then take the black food gel and gently draw the blacks lines for the goggles, mouth and hair. GUESS WHAT!? You are done!!
